As AmplifyDMC’s graphic designer from 2015-2022, and now as an Affiliated Ampster, Andrea brings essential familiarity and clarity to her work with AMP HQ and clients. Andrea’s enthusiasm for using her creative skills to advance mission-driven organizations is rooted in her early experience as an AmeriCorps volunteer with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
Can you share a memorable volunteering or fundraising experience you’ve had?
My first international Habitat for Humanity build in Honduras was eye-opening in so many ways. From the concrete-block houses we helped to build, to the unpredictable supply of building materials, to the neighborhood kids hanging around wanting us to teach them English words, it was SO different to my Habitat experience in the Twin Cities. I learned that even the simplest of homes could change the lives of a family in need of shelter and how much I took for granted in my own life.
