Ask the Ampster: Can you share a memorable volunteering or fundraising experience you’ve had?
Working on the NATIFS communications campaign highlighting regional foods across the country was a wonderful opportunity to create interest in recognizing and using native foods. From researching the uses of seaweed in Hawaii to the life cycle of a salmonberry bush on the West Coast, it was a joy to write in a more poetic register while sharing the amazing and generous work that NATIFS does to share Indigenous knowledge with the public.
